20 Weeks Pregnant: Half way there!!

This past week I can feel the baby moving everyday, really anytime that I sit still. I can see it moving from the outside and Dave can feel him/her moving. It is a strange feeling but very intertaining for me. Now I am half way to my due date and 17 weeks until I am full term.

Another Addition!

Our new ducklings named Sharon and Pricilla (named by Dave). We will keep them inside for about one month.

Yes they are in one of our bath tubs.

Waiting for my prenatal appointment

Even though I am doing my prenatals where I work I still make apointments, we wait in the waiting room and feel like normal parents.

This is a new apprentice Dara feeling where the top of my womb is at 16 weeks. Kiersten, one of my midwives, is to the left and Jessica, another apprentice is to the far right.
We can hear the heart beat, so about everyday I am working I have someone listen. It is usually about 160 beats per minute. Old wives tale says it is a girl based on the fast rate, but I think it is a boy.

16 weeks pregnant

Here I (we) are at 16 weeks, or 4 months. I look like I am getting a beer gut. The baby is about 4.6 inches long and 2.8 ounces. So far I feel great and love being pregant. I haven't felt the baby move yet. I am due August 5th.

Dogs

This our new dog Marjorie (left). We adopted her from the local pound about a month ago. We were hoping she would become the protector of the chickens, turns out she has no interest in the job. Scar is to the right. He is my old roommate Rose's dog.
